Date

issued by the Metoffice at
   04:33, 04.03.2026

valid from
   06:00, 04.03.2026
until
   10:00, 04.03.2026

Region: East of England

Warning

Areas of fog are expected to reduce visibility in places this morning, with a chance of some dense patches reducing visibility to 100m or below. Visibility is likely to be quite variable across this region, with low cloud sitting on modest hills perhaps responsible for the worst visibility. Fog and low cloud should gradually lift during the morning, with visibility steadily improving by mid-morning. What Should I Do? Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, leaving extra journey time, or amending plans if necessary. Make sure you know how to switch on your fog lights, and check they are working before setting off on your journey. Bus and train services, as well as flights and ferry travel may also be affected; check for updates from your travel company and follow their advice. Be prepared for weather warnings to change: when a weather warning is issued, the Met Office recommends staying up to date with the weather forecast in your area.

Chief Forecaster

Early morning fog with variable visibility may give difficult and in places dangerous driving conditions.
